It’s hard to believe we are coming to the end of our Hillcrest development in Bessbrook.
In 2017 work started on our largest scheme (to date) of 254 new homes. We appointed Carr Brothers as our principal contractor following the previous success of the partnership on both Lotus Village and Mill Meadows.

Phase 1 started in July 2017 with an initial 76 homes. By June 2018 all homes in the first phase were completed and handed over. A further 31 were on target for completion by the end of the year. Progress on site has been exceptional from start to finish with around 50 houses per year being completed.
In 2018 Hillcrest Village was crowned Residential Development of the Year at the Belfast Telegraph Property awards. It was listed as a finalist in the CEF Private housing awards the same year.
Demand for these new homes has proved very popular with many being booked on the same day as they were released. We teamed up with Digney Boyd and Best Property Services who were appointed as joint selling agents.
We caught up with Siobhan Phillips from Best’s to see what she had to say about working with us at Hillcrest

Helena Burns from Digney Boyd has also been involved with Hillcrest and helped many purchasers with their buying decisions over the years, Helena said:
‘’Hillcrest Village has been an exceptional development of modern turnkey homes, suitable to a wide range of clients, however we are nearing the end of this development with only 3 sites left for sale this residential development has excelled over the last four years providing outstanding homes to a wide range of Clientele from North and South of the border’.
Last week the very last foundation was started, this marks the very end of the development being around the corner at the end of September 2022. When talking about the final foundation and the development coming to an end, Helena from Digney Boyd added,

Hillcrest will have welcomed over 250 new families on its completion, become another award-winning development for Lotus Homes and saw in the milestone of the 500th new Lotus home built by Carr Brothers. There have been some momentous achievements during its construction over the last few years.
